Geothermal Energy: A Treasure Beneath Our Feet

Earth's heat has been there since the beginning of time, is inexhaustible and can be utilised with very simple processing: Geothermal energy is a treasure beneath our feet. of heat. And the deeper we go into the earth's interior, the hotter it becomes. The earth's heat increases by roughly 30°C per 1000 metres on average. The deeper the rock, the hotter it gets, and the same applies to any water surrounding the rock. At many locations around the world, this water bubbles to the surface as a thermal spring or geyser.
